COMPANY PRACTICES & POLICIES

At Mmm Churros!, what we do is truly unique. From the dough we use to the techniques we use to fry and package the churros, our recipes and processes are proprietary. 

Employees will be required to sign a NDA (non disclosure agreement) prior to starting, which outlines the importance of keeping our company secrets within the company. 

CELL PHONE USAGE POLICY

While on shift, employees are expected to keep their cell phones put away.
This means absolutely NO cell phone usage while on shift!

• No using cell phones while handling food or preparing drinks

  • If you touch your cell phone, your hands are now contaminated and will need to be washed & gloves will need to be changed

• No using cell phones while working the cash register or in the cash register area

• In the case of an emergency, please notify your on duty  supervisor or lead and you will be given time to make a phone call.

• There is a zero tolerance policy protecting our processes and procedures, which all employees will sign and NDA for as well.
  Absolutely NO recording, picture taking and or posting of our processes, procedures, recipes or handbooks.
  VIOLATION OF THIS POLICY WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE TERMINATION AND POSSIBLE LEGAL ACTION

• Airpods and similar are to be removed while working

• No amplified music (from your phone or other device) without a manager's approval
  
  

EMPLOYEE DISCOUNTS & MEALS

ON DUTY MEAL ALLOWANCE:

As a thank you from the owners, crew members will receive up to $15 of free food items for their personal consumption while on duty - employee meals are for PERSONAL USE ONLY and to be consumed only during a break or lunch.
Employees are not to take food home at the end of their shift, nor are they allowed to trade employee meals with other vendors or give away their employee meal. Violation of this policy can result in immediate termination from the company.

0-5 hours worked: up to $10 in fresh made food and drink items (bottled drinks & pre-packaged pastries must be purchased and are not included).
5+ hours worked: up to $15 in fresh made food and drink items (bottled drinks & pre-packaged pastries must be purchased and are not included).

• You are allowed ONE transaction per day, and this must be ran through the cash register by a shift lead or manager.

• Employee meals are to be made by another team member, and made in the same manner as a standard item is made for customers (example: no adding extra ingredients or doubling the portion size)

• If you consume something, it must go through the cash register!

EMPLOYEE DISCOUNTS:

Off duty crew members will receive a 20% discount on select menu items and 40% off on Mmm Churros! merchandise.
At this time, we do not offer a family and friends discount. But as our company grows, we hope to offer this in the future

BEHAVIOR WHILE ON SHIFT

Crew members are expected to maintain a professional demeanor and high level of customer service at all times. 

The following is prohibited while on shift, and will result in disciplinary action if violated:

• Any use of profanity, foul and obscene language and offensive language

• Horseplay and rough housing 

• Rude or demeaning behavior towards customers, coworkers and or management

• Any use of offensive hand gestures

• Excessively loud laughing, talking, and yelling

• Airpods and similar are to be removed while working

• Amplified music (from your phone or other device) without a manager's approval is not allowed

• INTOXICATION of any kind while on shift is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination

  • We have a zero tolerance policy for drinking, smoking and other drug use while on duty or arriving to work intoxicated
